Rental Agreement – Terms & Conditions

RESERVATIONS

To confirm a reservation, we require your contact information, a credit card number on file, a deposit and a signed rental contract. The deposit is equal to 50% of your order total and is applied to your final balance. The final payment, as well as final product quantity, will be due no later than 30 days before the event.

PAYMENTS

Payments can be made in any of the following ways: credit card, Interac, cash, email transfer, or direct deposit. We take payments via Stripe, in person, by phone, or by email. Final payment for your order must be received no later than 30 days before your event day. Additional charges for items such as missing or damaged items, extra cleaning or cartage will be automatically charged to the credit card on file and an invoice emailed or mailed to the contract holder.

CHANGES

Quantity reductions of 30% or less can be accommodated up until 30 days before the event. Please note, we will not accept reductions within 14 days of the event. Increases can always be accommodated, subject to availability. Any increases in your numbers are subject to availability. You may make changes by phone, email or in person. 

CANCELLATIONS

All customers will provide a 50% NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT in order for The Curated Plate Co. to reserve their order.

·         Customers who cancel their orders at any time after a deposit is provided WILL LOSE THEIR DEPOSIT regardless of their circumstances or reasons for cancellation.

RENTAL PERIOD

The standard rental period is up to three days, unless that day is a Sunday or holiday then items are due the following day (4-day window). The Curated Plate Co. is flexible on this rental period so please discuss with the office if you need it extended. We do offer long term rental periods, please inquire with the office for rates. All items will be charged for rental period even if they have not been used. 

CUSTOMER PICK UP AND RETURN

·         Responsibility for customer-pickup rental items remains with the customer from time the items leave the Rental Center until the time they are returned.

·         The Customer is responsible for loading, unloading, and securing items within his or her vehicle as well as for any damage that they may suffer during those operations.

·         The Curated Plate Co will assist the customer in loading, but The Curated Plate Co. will not be held liable for traffic accidents or damages to vehicles or rental equipment in transit due to improper loading.

·         Items returned after the return date specified in the Rental Agreement will incur additional fees to be determined by The Curated Plate Co.

 

DELIVERY

Items not returned within 3 days after event are considered missing unless Client has arranged longer beforehand. Missing or damaged items will be charged at cost of repair or full replacement value if necessary. A detailed invoice of these items will be provided to client.

All equipment is to be returned clear of food, candle wax and other items, and in the handling racks in which they were delivered. Failure to do so will result in charges for the extra time and materials used to repackage the items.

·         Customers must be present for delivery. PRC will grant a 15 minute waiting period, after which the customer will be charged for waiting time up to $120.00 per hour billed in 15 minute increments.

 

EQUIPMENT RETURN

Plates, cutlery, & Glassware and food service items should be "dishwasher ready", rinsed or scraped well and free of food and garbage and placed back in containers provided. Failure to do so will result in The Curated Plate Co. charging an $100.00 cleaning fee.

Client agrees to pay replacement costs for any missing or damaged items. If items are found missing or damaged at pickup/return, a detailed invoice of the charges will be provided. All charger plates, flatware, and any other food service equipment, must be repacked in the same containers as delivered. 

Linen napkins must be dry to help prevent mildew, free of any wax, food, or garbage and placed in containers provided. Do not place linen in plastic bags as it encourages growth of mildew. Replacement cost will be charged for all damaged linens.

MISSING AND DAMAGED ITEMS

If you return damaged items to us or are missing items, you will be informed as soon as possible. If the missing items cannot be found or we are unable to contact you, replacement fees will be charged to the credit card we have on file. If items are returned within one week of notice, we will refund the full amount.

The client is responsible for all items from time of possession to time of return, please be sure to protect all items, including packaging materials, from all potential hazards such as weather, transportation, and misuse. Please do not throw out our crates, cardboard boxes, inserts, dividers or packaging material.

Extra charges will apply to, but not limited to: linen returned with excess grease, ink, wax or hard to remove stains; dishes, cutlery and food service equipment that require excess rinsing and cleaning; removal of tape, wax, labels or any decor items that have been added to rental items.
